This WD40 rust remover soak is ready to use and requires no dilution as it does not use acids or corroding chemicals. Do not use the rust removal solution on parts that have bluing, browning, or protective oxide paints, as those protective coatings would be removed. For best results leave tools or hardware in the solution for 1 to 3 hours for light rust removal. For heavy rust removal, leave tools or hardware in the rust removal solution overnight. The WD40 Specialist Rust Soak 1 Gallon can be repurposed as the more your de-rust, the darker the solution becomes.
